Series creator Dan Taberski decided to investigate this story, inspired by news of the “Havana Syndrome” affecting diplomats and CIA agents around the world. Taberski recalled another mysterious illness that struck a group of high school girls in Le Roy, New York, several years ago, and was struck by the possible connections between the two events.
Apple conducted an in-depth interview with Taberski about the origins and production process of the series.
