If you believe the rumors then Apple plans to get rid of the huge annoying cutout on the MacBook Pro screenIt splits the top screen into two parts, stealing valuable space from the status bar. The outage moved from smartphones to laptops just as the company began abandoning a similar “boom” on the iPhone in favor of Dynamic Island, 24 Channel reported, citing 9to5Mac.

The report suggests that Apple plans to launch 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with OLED displays between 2026 and 2027. The company will use a hybrid OLED display technology similar to the one introduced on the iPad Pro this year. We had already heard similar rumors earlier this year, and now we have confirmation from another source.

So what about instead of cutting? Everything so far indicates this. the company will replace this with “hole”. So we should expect something similar to the regular front camera on smartphones, represented by a small black dot. However, it is still unknown where this hole will be located (on the screen or in the frame). Leaving it on the laptop screen will not save the situation much, because this point will still hang in the field of view.

It may also mean MacBook Pro may receive an analogue of Dynamic Islandunless the company limits itself to just a small webcam.

We probably won’t know what Apple’s final decision will be for a while. But as we get closer to launch, insiders will reveal the final design of the MacBook Pro.
