Not too long ago, Apple slightly updated the Magic Mouse by replacing the charging port with USB Type-C 24 Channels. Later, the company received complaints that in addition to changing the port, it could also change its location and make it more convenient.
The port is located at the bottom of the device, forcing users to turn the mouse upside down to charge it, rendering it unusable in the process.

Bloomderg analyst Mark Gurman reported that Apple plans to relocate the charging port and address other user complaints, but specific design changes were not announced.
Consumers also complained about the ergonomics of the Magic Mouse, stating that it became uncomfortable to use for a long time. Apple reportedly aims to make the new design better suited to “today’s realities.”
However, the new Magic Mouse is not expected to be released anytime soon. According to Gurman, the device may hit the market within 12-18 months, so it should not be expected before 2026.
Considering that Apple recently updated its current Magic Mouse model with USB-C compatibility, it looks like it will be some time before the company’s next major modification appears.
Apple has yet to comment on the redesign or elaborate on specific improvements. For now, users will have to wait for future announcements regarding one of the company’s most criticized accessories.
