It was recently reported that Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a completely redesigned camera module. An image has emerged, allegedly showing the frame of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, obtained from Apple’s supply chain, and showing the horizontal camera module on the back, a design Apple has never seen before. Although Apple is still considering the design, some models of the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a horizontal camera module have appeared on the internet.
The mockup shows a major redesign of the iPhone in a few years. While tweaks and additions like the camera control button on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have been commonplace this year, a complete redesign is rare in this modern era. However, since these are just rumors, we advise you to approach any information with caution.
If we talk about the renders of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the back shows a rounded rectangular camera module with three cameras inside and an LED flash in the lower right corner of the module. The camera control button doesn’t seem to have disappeared, and the rest of the device follows Apple’s typical design language of rounded corners and flat side bezels. It was previously reported that the camera module on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may be larger next year.
Also, according to rumors, Apple will introduce partly aluminum and partly glass in the Pro models. The bottom part of the back panel will remain glass in order to adapt to wireless charging technology. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may also feature a new display technology called Low-Dielectric TEE, which will help improve energy efficiency. The company is also said to be planning to use a titanium body for next year’s Pro model.
