Known for its reliable smartphones, Chinese smartphone manufacturer DOOGEE introduced a new smartphone series. The DOOGEE S61 lineup consists of the vanilla DOOGEE S61 and S61 Pro, and both are expected to launch in July. Although model prices have not been announced yet, phone features and some marketing images have been published. The specs suggest that the models will be sold as rugged smartphones with a textured back panel and a rugged design that protects them from drops and bumps.

The DOOGEE S61 series also features a translucent design, which is just the effect, not a transparent back panel. Models are IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified.

Both models have a 6-inch display with HD+1 resolution of 1440×720 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. These models are equipped with a MediaTek Helio G35 processor paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The difference between the two models is that the S61 Pro has great camera settings. The S61 includes 64GB of memory while the S61 Pro has 128GB of internal memory.

As for the camera, the DOOGEE S61 is equipped with a 20 MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera. The S61 Pro has a 48MP main camera and a 16MP selfie sensor on the front. With a battery with a capacity of 5180 mAh under the hood, the S61 series runs on the latest Android 12. We expect to see more details about the devices when they are officially revealed next month.
