The new Xiaomi device with model number 22071212AG has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA. This device is expected to launch in the late third quarter or early fourth quarter of this year under the name Xiaomi 12T.
Previous reports had shown that Xiaomi is working on two devices codenamed “plato” and “mayfly”. These devices have model numbers 22071212AC/G and 22081212C/G. The letters “C” and “G” refer to their versions in China and around the world. The abbreviated model numbers of these devices are L12 and L12A.
The L12 (mayfly) will likely launch in China as the Redmi K50S Pro. It may appear in world markets under the name Xiaomi 12T Pro. There are two other variants of this phone with model numbers: 22081212UG and 22081212R. The first will likely be called the Xiaomi 12T Pro Hypercharge, while the second could be a Japan-exclusive mod that could launch as the Xiaomi 12T Pro.
According to rumors, the L12A (plateau) will be released under the name Redmi K50S. In world markets it can be called Xiaomi 12T. This device is FCC certified due to its key parts.
The FCC listing showed that the Xiaomi 12T will be equipped with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ax, 5G (7 bands), Bluetooth, GPS and an IR amplifier. It will be offered in two configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB memory and 8GB RAM + 256GB memory.
Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro are equipped with Dimensity 1200 and Snapdragon 888 chipsets, respectively. The Xiaomi 12T Pro will likely be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, while the 12T SoC could be equipped with Dimensity. Source
