At the end of 2022, Apple will launch four new iPhones, two of which will receive a new processor and an improved camera system. The features of the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro were revealed by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.
According to Gurman, in 2022 the iPhone lineup will consist of four devices: two base models and two Pro versions. The first phones will get the A15 chip already installed in the iPhone 13. In addition, the mini version with a 5.4-inch screen will be replaced by a Max with a diagonal of 6.7 inches.
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will have a new chip and display. First, only these models will be equipped with a new A16 processor. Apple will change the front panel of the devices: the bezels around the screen will be thinner and there will be round cutouts for the front camera and FaceID system instead of bangs. According to Gurman, the main camera will have a resolution of 48 megapixels.
Despite rumors that Apple will install USB-C, all iPhone models will have a Lightning connector. The journalist assumes that the transition to a universal standard will occur in 2023. In addition to the iPhone, Apple will launch three versions of the Apple Watch by the end of the year, including the budget SE model, the basic Series 8, and the advanced protection model for active sports.
