Today, Xiaomi has officially announced a self-developed battery management microcircuit called Surge G1. Already on July 4 it will be released on smartphones of the Xiaomi 12S series.
Xiaomi had previously developed the Surge P1 fast charging chip and the Surge C1 imaging processor. Now Xiaomi has decided to “complete the puzzle” to make charging and battery work as efficient as possible.
The Surge G1 power management chip is said to be responsible for converting, distributing, sensing and other management of electrical power in new smartphones. Thanks to this chip, smartphones will be able to provide smarter discharge management, rational use of mobile phone power and longer battery life.
In addition, Xiaomi has officially announced a new self-developed FBO data storage technology. This technology will be used for the first time in the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Source
