A few days ago, Xiaomi announced its latest flagship smartphone, which is home to China, the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro, along with some other products. Today, both Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro smartphones can be officially purchased in the Chinese market at a starting price of 3,999 yuan (~$595).

The 8GB + 128GB model is RMB 3,999, while the 8GB + 256GB model is RMB 4,299. The 12GB + 256GB model is RMB 4,699, while the 12GB + 512GB model is RMB 5,199. As for the Xiaomi 12S Pro, the 8GB + 128GB model costs RMB 4,699 and the 8GB + 256GB model costs RMB 4,999. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at 5,399 RMB, while the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at 5,899 RMB.

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi 12S has a 6.28-inch display, while the 12S Pro model has a 6.73-inch display and both offer Full HD+ AMOLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.

In the camera section, there is a Leica camera on the back of the phones. The regular model has a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP telephoto sensor. On the other hand, the Pro model has a 50MP Sony IMX707 primary sensor paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens. Both phones have 32-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calling.

The Xiaomi 12S series runs Android 12 operating system with the company’s own MIUI interface on the top. The 12S is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while the 12S Pro is powered by a 4,600mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
