The Xiaomi 12S Ultra has just been released, but has already been reviewed with some interesting details about the phone. One of the most interesting aspects of the model is undoubtedly the largest 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera sensor to date, created specifically for use in a phone. As we mentioned, there is a video courtesy of WeikiHome that shows the camera system in detail. The thickness of the main module alone is 11.06 mm, which is larger than some high-end smartphones.

Most of the space inside the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is devoted to the camera system: next to the 1-inch main module, there is a 48-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Apart from that, the 1-inch sensor also has many features. There is a new 8P aspherical lens that helps eliminate glare, halos, chromatic aberration and other photographic imperfections.
