Motorola is expected to announce the next-generation clamshell Razr and Motorola Edge X30 Pro later this month. The company has yet to confirm the launch date for either device. However, Chen Jin, CEO of Lenovo’s China mobile division, introduced the Razr 2022 to the media at a press conference in China, apparently Chen Jin didn’t say anything about the device’s specs. However, it showed the device itself to those present. As revealed in a recently leaked video, the Razr 2022 features a punch-hole design and a shrunken chin.
Motorola Razr 2019 and Razr 5G, which were released in the past years, had a notch on the screen and a wide chin. Both models had a single camera, but the next-gen model will feature a horizontal camera module with two cameras. Here is the official Razr 2022 teaser
Motorola Razr 2022 will have a 6.7-inch folding P-OLED display with FHD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Although it is estimated to have a 2,800 mAh battery, Jin denied the leak.
The back of the Razr 2022 will have a 3-inch secondary screen. On the back, there will be a 50 MP main camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide camera. The device will be equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It will come pre-installed with Android 12 and MyUX. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. In Europe it can cost 1,149 euros. The device is expected to come in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue colors. Source
