Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed that Chinese channels are optimistic about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series, including distributors, retailers and even speculators who are eagerly awaiting the launch of new smartphones.

Expressing one of the interesting reasons for this situation in the market, Ming-Chi Kuo said, “They expect the demand for the iPhone 14 series to exceed the demand for the iPhone 13 series.” Ming-Chi Kuo believes this may be due to Apple starting to dominate the high-end smartphone segment in China after Huawei exited the 5G smartphone market.

As Huawei began to sharply lose its position in the market due to US sanctions, analysts speculated that Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo and other Chinese smartphone manufacturers could benefit from it. However, it so happened that Apple became the main beneficiary.

Recently, Yu Chengdong, head of Huawei’s consumer business, said that the company’s smartphone sales have fallen sharply. Due to the current US sanctions and lack of supply, Huawei is unable to launch new smartphones with 5G support. Yu Chengdong also said, “As the world leader in 5G, Huawei is the only manufacturer to sell 4G mobile phones in the 5G era, which in itself seems like a joke.”
