Motorola is ready to launch its latest foldable smartphone called Moto Razr 2022. As the name suggests, the phone will be the successor to the Lenovo-owned brand’s existing foldable smartphone market.
While the official launch of the smartphone is scheduled for August 2 next week, the company has now shared a teaser on Weibo that reveals the design of the smartphone and gives a hint of what to expect.
The Moto Razr 2022 will have a full-size external display that will be the same as the internal display. The phone is also shown to have a dual camera setup on the back and the external display can be used as a viewfinder.
The development comes days after Motorola confirmed that the Moto Razr 2022 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It will be powered by a 3,500mAh battery that is claimed to last a full day on a single charge.
Earlier reports suggested that the smartphone could feature a 6.7-inch foldable P-OLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to have a 3-inch display on the back that can be used for multiple functions.
In the camera department, there will be a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor on the back of the phone. On the front, there will be a 32-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calls.
The phone will be equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory. It will run the Android 12 operating system with the company’s MyUI 4.0 interface.
Moto Razr 2022 is expected to be offered in two different colors, Quartz Black and Serene Blue. According to rumors, the phone could cost 1,149 euros, which is around $1,175 in the European market.
