Tesla owner radically solved the problem of lost keys – he used them under his skin

The protagonist of the story, Brandon Dalali, is part of the group of beta testers of the NFC chip VivoKey – Apex. Dalali showed off a rather unusual way of keeping the key always at hand – he pierced himself by inserting a chip under his skin.

In addition to himself, Dalali said there are about 100 other people in the key testers group. VivoKey Apex is special in that it performs secure transactions and Java card applications. The company that created it has its own app store where you can wirelessly upload apps to your body using these chips.

Interestingly, this is not the only key in Brandon Dalali’s body. In his left hand is a chip that opens the door of his house. It also contains Delali’s medical information, vaccination card and some other important documents.

The whole idea was to hold the house key in my left hand and the car key.
– on the right, – said Dalali.

First of all, Brandon wants to connect credit card information to his chip in order to be able to pay via terminals.

How safe is it?

Dalali said the chips are coated with biocompatible materials such as biopolymers and bioglass so that the body’s natural tissues can accept and adapt to the chip. Chips can also glow in the dark, according to Brandon, which is a lot of fun.

It is worth noting that Brandon Dalali is far from the first person to decide to implant a chip in his body in the role of a key, storage for documents or payment information. This is a fairly popular procedure that more and more people are resorting to.
