The company has partnered with Hellkat Powerboats to install the E-Motion electric outboard propulsion system on a 9.7-metre catamaran hull specially designed to house the necessary battery packs.
Vision Marine brought a new electric powerboat to the Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout event last weekend to try to break its own speed record for electric boats and become the first electric boat to go 100 miles per hour.
Although this particular boat is racing specific, Vision is currently in the process of commercializing the outboard electric propulsion system for boats. The company is currently collaborating with boat giant Groupe Beneteau.
Vision is ramping up production of its outboards and batteries to fit more boats.
