As with the Xperia 5 III last year, Sony says Some of the camera technologies from the Xperia 1 IV have been incorporated into the new Xperia 5 IV. That’s for sure because we’re facing the little brother of the company’s flagship terminal.

In the photography department, the main sensor is 12 megapixels and 24mm with f / 1.7 aperture. It is accompanied by a 12-megapixel 16mm wide-angle sensor (f/2.2) and a 60mm telephoto sensor (f/2.4). There is a 12-megapixel sensor on the front.

With the rear cameras, we can record 4K HDR at 120fps (up to 5X) slower than Sony. There are also these real-time object tracking It promises (thanks to AI) to track and keep the subject in focus to take portraits with better results.

At the front camera level, there is an improvement over the Xperia 5 III from last year. The new 12 MP sensor will be able to capture content in 4K HDR, which will provide better contrast grading. Sony also says it will allow you to take good selfies even in low-light scenarios.

Whether you want to create or consume content, screen size and technology are key factors. In this case we have a panel. 6.1 inch OLED with FHD+ resolution and classic 21:9 aperture format. The company says it’s 50% brighter than the previous generation.

The refresh rate is 120 Hz with BT.2020 color space support. There is also support for HDR content and image adjustment technologies. By the way, the touch sampling frequency is 240 Hz, an interesting combination to enjoy games on the terminal.

And if we’re going to talk about games, we also need to talk about the processor. In this case, the heart of the Xperia 5 IV is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (not 8+ Gen 1 version). It is a chip that represents a significant leap forward in relation to the Snapdragon 888 and comes with improvements in efficiency and performance.

The Hexagon processor is a high-end SoC that opens the door to great benefits in terms of artificial intelligence through mobile photography, videos and mobile games.

If we talk about memory, the terminal will come in a single configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The battery will have a capacity of 5,000 mAh with support for 30W fast charging, wireless charging and reversible charging.

And Sony hasn’t forgotten to bring improvements to its terminal in the audio department, either. Here we find compatibility with 360 Reality Audio, Dolby Atmos, DSEE Ultimate and LDAC. Terminal users will be able to use 3.5 mm plug or wireless headphones via Bluetooth.
