Initially, the Tesla Semi will be produced in a version with a range of 800 kilometers and a claimed electricity consumption of less than 2 kilowatts per hour. The maximum weight of such a truck will be 37,195 kilograms. Later, the company plans to launch a more affordable version of the truck with a range of 500 kilometers.

It is currently unknown how much Tesla’s future new products will cost. Previously, the older version was expected to cost buyers $180,000. But now there is information about its price of more than 200 thousand dollars.

• Tesla Semi power plant will include four electric motors.
• According to preliminary data, the truck will be able to accelerate from where it stopped. Up to 100 kilometers per hour in 5 secondsand in 20 seconds with a fully loaded trailer.
• By charging from one of Tesla’s proprietary super-fast chargers (also known as Tesla Megachargers), the truck can recover 70 percent of its range in just 30 minutes.

The premiere of the Tesla Semi prototype took place in November 2017 and was originally scheduled to go into production in 2019.
