The renders and live photos of the Redmi A1 smartphone, a completely new and ultra-budget model, have been published online. The official premiere of the device will take place on September 6, but you can evaluate both the design and the features of the novelty.

The design cannot be called a revelation: the use of a drop-shaped screen on an ultra-budget smartphone is quite predictable. But the camera unit isn’t really trying to copy other Xiaomi models or their competitors. The “subcutaneous” textured cover also attracts attention.

Budget SoC MediaTek Helio A22 will be the hardware base of the device. It is interesting that this model does not have the classic MIUI interface, but instead – MIUI Lite, in fact – pure Android. This option was created specifically for budget devices.

The Redmi A1 will not have a fingerprint scanner, the battery capacity will be 5000 mAh, it will support 10W charging.

The novelty will receive an IPS display with a diagonal of 6.52 inches and HD + resolution. The front camera is 5 megapixels, the main camera is dual, sensors with a resolution of 8 and 2 MP. The base is expected to have 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory, and at least this variant of the smartphone will cost under $ 100. Source
