Huawei Mate 50 Pro first tested on Geekbench

The results of the first test of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro flagship phone in the Geekbench benchmark have appeared on the Internet. Judging by the description, the smartphone is based on the premium Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platform. At least this is demonstrated by the Arm Cortex-X2 3.2 GHz supercore frequency.

Tomorrow, at the time of the announcement, Huawei will reveal all the cards, but the source believes there are two possible options. The first is that Huawei really has the latest TSMC Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC for its flagship. The second Huawei uses a super-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 manufactured by Samsung that is overclocked to 3.2 GHz. In any case, in both cases there will be no built-in 5G modem: such a connection will be carried out with an additional accessory – a cover (as in many other Huawei smartphones, including models of the P50 line).

The Mate 50 is one of the company’s neatly disguised smartphones. There is still no more or less accurate data on the characteristics of these models. Officially, it’s just a matter of very good autonomy, support for satellite communications, once again improving the cameras presented under the new XMAGE brand. And of course the Mate 50 will run proprietary HarmonyOS 3.0. Source
