The port is the work of programmer Tomasz Wizmazal, and you can see the game in action in the video below. Vizmazal used a combination of a Quake software renderer and gyroscopic and touch controls. He even managed to make the clock sound.
While it’s not the easiest game to play given the size and control limitations of the Apple Watch, it’s still an impressive feat to see Quake on a smartwatch. And what makes it even more impressive is that the game runs smoothly at 60 frames per second.

Unfortunately, Quake for Apple Watch will not be available on the App Store due to license restrictions on game assets. However, you can create it yourself if you have a Mac and access to Xcode. Vizmazal explains how to do this in the GitHub repository for the project.
