For those who don’t know, there have been rumors that the South Korean technology giant may switch to MediaTek chipsets. This SoC Dimensity will reportedly be used in the future Galaxy S22 FE model. Korean media also added that the next-generation Galaxy S23 series could switch to MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. Since these are flagship models, the processors belong to the Dimensity 9000 series.
But the new tweet says otherwise. According to Yoges Brara, we may not see the MediaTek Dimensity-based Samsung premium phone for a while. In other words, we can expect the brand to supply the Galaxy S22 FE or Galaxy S23 line with Snapdragon or Exynos chipsets depending on the market. While Samsung still has plans for the future, it may even consider this solution right now. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether this is completely beyond the scope of the picture.
However, if it decides to switch, it’s likely that it will switch its Snapdragon options in favor of Dimensity chips rather than stop producing its proprietary chips. Keep in mind that this is just an unconfirmed report, so be skeptical and stay tuned. Source
