Considering that the technology is still in its infancy, this futuristic landscape is truly impressive. Detroit Auto Show Co-President Tad Sott was one of the first to use the hoverbike, and his enthusiasm for the ride was palpable.

The hoverbikes are already available in Japan, and a smaller version is being prepared for release in the US. The first copies are expected to come to light in 2023.
Such a pleasure would cost dearly. $777,000. By 2025, developers, startup AERWINS Technologies, hope to reduce that price to a much more acceptable level – $50,000.
There are still many hurdles to overcome before XTURISMO becomes practical. It is still quite noisy in operation, requires a remote control for display, and is not currently approved for street use as an electric vertical take-off and landing (EVTOL) technology.
