Xiaomi is preparing to launch the successor of Xiaomi CIVI soon. The brand has confirmed that the Xiaomi CIVI 2 will launch in China on September 27. Recent reports have also indicated that CIVI 2 may debut in the global market under a different name.
On the eve of the presentation on September 27, live images of the smartphone surfaced online. Twitter user mirei Xiaomi shared live images showing the design of the CIVI 2. The rear panel of the device has a unique wavy pattern and a clear-looking camera island with three sensors and a flash module. On the front of the device, just like the iPhone 14 Pro, there are thin bezels and a pill-shaped notch for the camera. The image also confirms that the device will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Features of Xiaomi CIVI 2
Xiaomi CIVI 2 is expected to feature a 6.56-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and a 4,500mAh battery with 67V fast charging.
It may have dual 32MP front cameras and a 50MP (primary, with OIS) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup. It will come pre-loaded with Android 12 placed on top of MIUI 13. Xiaomi has confirmed that the device is 7.23mm thick and weighs 171 grams.
