Just a few days ago we were able to test the Vivo X Fold, Vivo’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. Although it is a great device, equipment had some room for improvementespecially when using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, one of the most thermally efficient SoCs of the year (although it’s Qualcomm’s best).

The refresh of this Vivo X Fold is called Vivo X Fold+ and this variant has a better processor and an improved fast charging system. These are all its features and characteristics.

A beast to compete with the best

Vivo X Fold+ is a true hardware beast, following in the footsteps of Galaxy Z Fold4. It has a 6.53-inch external display with Full HD+ resolution, LTPO technology (from 1 to 120Hz) and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, fully covered by Gorilla Glass Victus.

The internal screen accessed when we turn on the phone is 8.03 inches, with 2K resolution, E5 type AMOLED, with a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits and also with an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. Supports HDR10+ and inherits all technologies of the previous version.

Where are the changes? The first comes from the hand of the processor. This phone is wearing the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, an important development It promises to be up to 30% more efficient than the previous model. The fast charging system is also improving, going from 66W to 80W. 50W cordless well maintained.

Although there is no change here, the photography part comes signed by ZEISS. 50 megapixel main camera, 48 wide angle, 8 megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom and latest 12 megapixel sensor for portrait photography.

Vivo X Fold + versions and price

This Vivo is the most “affordable” version and comes in at 1,445 euros in China to exchange for a new red colour. In case of landing in Europe, it will be time to prepare the portfolio.
