Matt Brown, who used to work at Tesla, has a lot of authority in the automotive internet field, which he is today called “Super Speed Matt”. He has also managed to work at Apple and NASCAR, and occasionally writes for Jalopnik and runs a YouTube channel.

When asked if a pickup truck could cross the lake, Brown said quite frankly, “Maybe, but that will almost certainly increase the cost and limit use in other areas.” This makes a lot of sense, given the limited practicality of consumer amphibious vehicles in the past.
It’s still unclear whether this is a joke from Elon Musk or whether the Cybertruck will actually be able to float. It’s worth noting that Musk recently stated that Tesla has increased the cost of the Cybertruck as equipment and cost have changed over time since the pickup truck was first released.
