Apple plans to introduce new features for its smartwatch. Sources say it’s a satellite function for sending emergency text messages.
According to Bloomberg, Apple’s wearable smart devices will soon be able to offer these important emergency features. Rumor has it that satellite communication may have first appeared on the iPhone 13 series, but that didn’t happen. It is now expected to appear on the iPhone 14. Users will be able to send text messages over satellite networks even without connecting to the mobile operator’s network.
The iPhone manufacturer will offer these features to assist users in emergencies. The source writes that this function will consist of two parts. The first is to send regular messages to contacts. This feature will allow users to send short text messages in areas where there is no mobile connection. Also in the “Messages” program this chat will be displayed with gray bubbles.
The second part of the system will allow users to report the humidity of an event involving a car, ship or plane. More specific information will need to be provided, such as a person falling overboard or a sinking ship. The operator will also promptly ask if search and rescue services are needed. The presentation of the iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch is most likely expected in September.
