The Galaxy M31 was one of the best budget smartphones in India when it launched in March 2020. Due to its unique positioning, it was the first to receive many software features after its release. It was even Samsung’s first affordable smartphone to get the Android 11 update, and now it’s starting to get the Android 12 update as well.
According to SamMobile, Samsung has started rolling out Android 12 updates for the Galaxy M31. The latest version of Android for the phone comes with One UI 4.1 and March 2022 security fixes.
The update is now available in India. Users in this region can navigate to: “Settings” > “Software Update” > “Download and Install”Update will appear in other countries in the coming days to check for OTA updates on your device.
Android 12 is the second major software update for the Galaxy M31. The device will not receive new Android updates in the future as it is not eligible for Samsung updates for three/four years. However, users can expect two more years of security updates.
Samsung Galaxy M31 has launched Android 10 with features like 6.4 inch FHD + Super AMOLED display, Exynos 9611 SoC, 64MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (macro) + 5MP (depth) settings, 32 Megapixel selfie. camera, fingerprint sensor on the back panel, 6000 mAh battery and 15-watt fast charging support.
