iQOO is expected to launch a new mid-range smartphone called the iQOO Neo 7 sometime in October. The device will be the successor to the company’s popular iQOO Neo 6. Weibo tipster @大白哥 shared information about the launch date of the upcoming device. According to the report, the iQOO Neo 7 is expected to launch in China on October 20-21. Some specs of the upcoming device have already been leaked.
MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ will be a feature of Neo 7. This chipset is based on TSMC’s advanced 4nm process and uses one Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores. It also has an integrated Mali-G710 MC10 GPU.
The Pro variant of the device is said to have a flat 2K E6 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. We expect to see a device with a 5,000mAh battery coupled with 120W fast charging support. The base variant is said to have a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while fast charging is expected to be limited to 67W.
The Neo 7 is said to come with a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V image sensor paired with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel portrait telephoto lens.
