As eSIM features become more popular, hardware manufacturers will soon replace physical SIM cards with electronic ones. Although there is still time for this, since most smartphones do not support eSim even with a standard SIM card. The Xiaomi smartphone line was no exception. But the Chinese company has fixed this with the launch of the latest Xiaomi 12T Pro.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro was introduced to the global market on October 4th and is the company’s first global eSim smartphone. However, it is supported by a limited number of carriers and availability may vary by country/region and carrier.
It is worth noting that the 12T Pro is launched in two SIM card configurations – nano SIM+eSIM and nano SIM+nano SIM. Currently, eSim is available to users in countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Japan, and Malaysia. You can check the full list of countries/regions and carriers that support eSIM. eSIM feature is also available on Redmi Note 10T, but only in Japan. Additionally, the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Lite NE reportedly supports this feature as well.
As a reminder, the Xiaomi 12T Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 chipset, has 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of storage.
It is equipped with a new 200 megapixel main sensor. The phone also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with F/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front panel of the device has a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The 12T Pro has a 5000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. Source
