HMD Global announced the Nokia C31 in early September this year, along with the Nokia G60 5G and X30 5G for the global market. The Finnish company has announced the affordable Nokia C31 in China. The Chinese version of the Nokia C31 is available in two memory configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The base model is priced at RMB 799 (~$111) versus US$129 in the global market, while the more expensive model will sell for RMB 869 (~$121) in China. The two variants will be available from 10:00am on October 15th.

In terms of design and specifications, the Nokia C31 has a 6.74 inch LD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and supports 60Hz refresh rate. It has a prominent notch on the screen that houses the 5-megapixel selfie camera. The back uses a 3D water-based design to avoid fingerprints. The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a triple camera placed in the upper-left corner of the panel. The cameras are placed in a vertical orientation and consist of a 13 MP main camera, a 2 MP depth camera and a 2 MP macro lens.

C31 is mainly powered by UNISOC SC9863A1 CPU combined with PowerVR GE8322, which can meet various daily usage. The device also supports memory expansion up to 512GB. Under the hood of the Nokia C31 is a built-in 5050 mAh battery. The device supports charging with 10 W of power and has its own “power saver” and “super power saver” modes. When the battery is low, the phone saves power by adjusting the visual reflection effect and limiting background apps so that it does not affect the use of important device functions.

In addition, the Nokia C31 supports IP52 water and dust resistance, 4G dual SIM/dual standby, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 4. It also has the legendary 3.5mm headphone jack and the ability to charge via the micro USB interface. The budget smartphone is available in three color options – Advanced Grey, Scandinavian Blue and Mint Green.
