Sony has officially announced that the compact Sony Xperia 5 IV smartphone, in which the large-capacity battery is integrated into a slim and compact body, will go on sale in China. The smartphone is available for pre-order in China from October 10 in a single version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory for $875. After the sale begins, the price will rise to $910.

The design of the Sony Xperia 5 IV is the same as the previous generation. On the side of the case is a power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner and a physical button for shooting. The Sony Xperia 5 IV is 8.2 mm thick, weighs 172 grams and is available in three colors, black, white and green.

Sony Xperia 5 IV retained the 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, the smartphone supports DSEE Ultimate and LDAC technologies as well as surround sound and Hi-Res Audio. Sony Xperia 5 IV uses a 6.1 inch FHD+ OLED display with HDR support, 21:9 screen aspect ratio and 120 Hz high refresh rate support.

Sony Xperia 5 IV is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system and supports MicroSD memory cards with a capacity of up to 1TB. The Sony Xperia 5 IV uses three 12-megapixel cameras on the back, and all three cameras support 4K HDR video recording at 120fps. Xperia 5 IV supports eye focus and object tracking.

As for the front camera, compared to the 8-megapixel 1/4-inch sensor used in the Xperia 5 III, Sony has upgraded the selfie camera of the Xperia 5 IV to a 12-megapixel 1/2.9-inch sensor. Sony Xperia 5 IV has a 5000mAh internal battery and supports fast wired charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging with 30W power. The smartphone corresponds to the degree of protection IP68.
