A few months ago, users complained that their Samsung Galaxy S20 screen stopped working for no reason. The screens had to be replaced, in some cases out of warranty. Now there is another problem with the screens.
The issue affected Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. Users of these phones report a green or pink stripe running across the screen. For some, this has happened after a recent update, but there are messages from a month ago. This indicates that the problem may not be in the software.
It’s not clear why this is causing the issue. Since the Galaxy S20 series went on sale a little over two years ago, fixing this particular screen issue will likely require repairs at its own expense. It is hoped that Samsung will be able to provide a free repair if the problem becomes widespread.
