Anyone still familiar with 2018’s iPhone XR will immediately recognize the design of the next iPhone SE. Not surprising, because Apple is likely to resort to famous production lines for the fourth version of the cheapest iPhone model.

Three years after the iPhone 8 design, it looks like the iPhone XR design is getting a revival in the form of the iPhone SE 4 and will likely be called the iPhone SE 2023. It is expected to be launched early next year. At least that’s what insiders have been saying since the summer of 2022. Additionally, analysts have recently confirmed these rumors and the first images based on the rumors can be seen below.

However, the work of the concept designers here is not that much, it is enough to pull the known iPhone XR design out of the box. Apple seems to be moving from the old iPhone design with the home button and thick edges to a 6.1-inch front panel with reduced edges and notches – it’s not yet known whether Face ID will be part of the device or Touch ID will be. It should be on the power button.

On the back, you can see a single 12-megapixel camera in the upper left corner. The iPhone SE 2023’s edges are rounded, not flat and bulky like Apple’s current iPhone 14 series.

Technical details, such as whether the Apple A15 or Apple A16 Bionic chipset is installed, have not yet been specified in detail. The Lightning port, which is actually still expected here, is at least dubious given the new EU legislation, as Apple doesn’t have to use USB-C yet in early 2023.
