Huawei launches Mate 50 Pro to the European market

Huawei has confirmed that the Mate 50 series will be available in the Eurozone, with the Mate 50 Pro priced at €1,299 and the 512GB version at €1,399. Huawei later also confirmed that the Mate 50E and Mate 50 RS Porsche Design will not be coming to the European market, and the Mate 50 is yet to be finalized. For European users, the only option for this series is the Mate 50 Pro.

Huawei has now launched this model in Europe and will be available from November 10. At the same time, the official representative lowered the starting price of the Mate 50 Pro. The current pre-order price in Europe is €1,199.

But surprisingly, Huawei seems to have shelved the 512GB version of the Mate 50 Pro, and Eurozone can only choose the 8GB RAM, 256GB storage model with black and silver color options. Additionally, Huawei has decided to give early adopters a pair of FreeBuds Pro 2 headphones (€179), which is equivalent to a further reduction in the price of the Mate 50 Pro.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 is available in light blue, silver and white. Huawei can also purchase the Watch FIT 2, Watch GT Runner band and warranty extension service when you order the Mate 50 Pro, which can save you some money compared to buying directly.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro uses a notched display, supports Huawei’s proprietary XMAGE image processing technology, and has a 50-megapixel primary camera with variable aperture. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip that does not support 5G.

In addition, Huawei uses Kunlun glass on the 6.74-inch OLED display, which is the first product in the industry to receive the Swiss five-star SGS drop-proof certification. The drop resistance of the whole smartphone is 10 times higher than normal.

The Chinese version of Huawei Mate 50 Pro has Beidou satellite message function, but the overseas version does not support it. Another difference between the overseas version and the Chinese version is that the old version uses Android-based EMUI 13, while the Chinese version uses Harmony OS 3.0. The overseas version of the Mate 50 Pro is available in silver and black, with 8GB storage and 256GB storage, priced at €1,299. There is also a Kunlun Xiaguang version equipped with 8/512 GB memory, priced at 1,399 Euros.
