According to insiders, Apple is actively working on changes to the functioning of the Siri voice assistant.

So, for example, it should replace the activation command with a shorter one. If previous users had to say “Hello Siri” to start a dialog, soon just saying “Siri” will suffice.

Internet sources close to the company said that Apple has been trying to implement this feature for the past few months. The innovation should be deployed to users’ devices already in 2023.

Interestingly, the launch may be delayed until 2024. This is due to the difficulty of implementing the stable operation of the function – the voice assistant must wake up, recognize a word in different languages ​​​​and dialects. This is much more complicated than responding to a two-word trigger phrase.
