In collaboration with CompareDial, insider @OnLeaks shared high-quality render images that allegedly show the base model of the Xiaomi 13 series. Like the Xiaomi 12. With the dimensions of 152.8×71.5×8.3 millimeters, the new generation smartphone is 1.6 millimeters wider and 0.1 millimeter thicker than its predecessor, and the camera module protrudes exactly 2 millimeters from the body.
However, the design has been radically redesigned – a flat aluminum frame, an almost flat screen with relatively flat edges of the screen and a square camera module inevitably reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 14. The lock button and volume buttons are located on the right. The selfie camera of the smartphone is placed in the middle hole and there is a USB-C connector at the bottom.
Apart from the design, this new leak does not reveal any details about the Xiaomi 13. If previous rumors are to be believed, the Xiaomi 13 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and an AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution.
It is not yet entirely clear whether the cameras of the base model will have the Leica branding, because the images created still do not contain any expression in the camera module. In any case, the smartphone should have a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP super wide-angle camera and a 50 MP telephoto lens. In addition, the smartphone should come with the proprietary MIUI 14 skin based on the Android 13 operating system.
