It will probably be a few more months before we see the Vivo X80 Pro successor in the global market, but it’s likely to arrive in China this year. Vivo’s camera flagships, which are becoming increasingly popular in this country as well, are poised to receive a major upgrade, and that means more than just Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Notably, the camera should take significantly better photos and videos, as Vivo backs up the tech demo with some pretty impressive photo samples.
Some details that appear to be camera sensors and a planned Dolby Vision processor have been leaked recently. Thus, the smartphone will receive the same 1-inch main sensor as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept, albeit in a slightly adapted Vivo form like the Sony IMX989V.
Not only does it already describe what a Digital Chat Station would look like from the inside, with words and a picture, you can also see it in person in the hands-on photo below that made its debut on Baidu’s Vivo group.
Whether this is indeed the final design of the Vivo X90 Pro+ has yet to be officially confirmed, but insider Ice Universe has confirmed it by releasing a promo render. Accordingly, the double zoom Vivo X90 Pro+ will offer 100x zoom, the Zeiss T logo can also be seen in the leaked photo.
