Just a few days ago, Samsung started rolling out Android 13-based One UI 5 on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note20 series, and the latest mid-range smartphones are already doing the same. The tech giant confirms that the official Roadmap update remains correct.
According to Samsung, anyone using the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, or Galaxy A73 5G, which is not yet available in some countries, will receive four major Android updates and security patches. The latest update for the Galaxy A33 5G with version number A336BXXU4BVJG comes with the October Android security patch rolling out in Europe, so the update will be rolled out to all users in a few days.
The update for the Galaxy A53 5G is called A536BXXU4BVJG, and the roughly 2GB download also includes security patches from October. Since this patch has already been distributed, it is useful to check the system settings section. “Software update”, to see if a patch is available for your own smartphone. If not, this will change in a few days as such deployments are usually gradual. One UI 5 and Android 13 update includes many user interface and privacy improvements.
