Xiaomi Mi A1 gets Android 13 ROM support

The Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone was launched in 2017 and is still running the top-of-the-line software thanks to the Android 13 update. The smartphone was released in 2017 with Android 7, but will now have software support for Android 13. Indeed, MI A1 has benefited from numerous ROM updates and is supported thanks to the support of the custom ROM community. The smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and previously ran on Android 10 Lineage OS 17.1. Some of the Android 13 ROMs available on the XDA forums include Spark OS, PixelPlusUI, PixelExperience, and ArrowOS.

Spark OS is based on AOSP and offers wider options and features to customize. It comes with a launcher and a Pixel converter. PixelPlusUI is inspired by various Android skins in the market and is well optimized. It comes with the latest security patches for enhanced security. PixelExperience includes Gapps as well as wallpapers, icons, fonts, and launch and loading animations. It is stable and based on AOSP. ArrowOS is another ROM based on AOSP but available without Gapps.

It is said that Xiaomi MI A1 users flashing to custom ROM may lose advanced features of camera app, VoLTE, FM radio and some other features. However, users have several options, and some of them can be excellent. There are other ways to overcome feature loss due to migration to a custom ROM. For example, you can use Open Camera or Google Camera.
