These SKUs correspond to future Galaxy S23 Ultra models for the US and other countries. It turns out that none of them will have the Exynos variant. Instead, future flagships will receive Snapdragon chips. This is in line with previous rumors that the company has decided to abandon its own processors.
Exynos processors turned out to be worse than Qualcomm’s chips, so users preferred the second version. Judging by the new data, Samsung may be planning to switch to new chips, and it needs a new partnership for that. Information about it was shared by an insider under the pseudonym OreXda.
According to him, the new chipset will consist of two high-performance Cortex-X cores, four low-clocked performance cores and four energy-efficient cores, as well as a CPU with an AMD GPU. Most likely, it will be built according to the technological process of 3 nanometers – Samsung has already begun work on the creation of similar microcircuits.
It is worth noting that Samsung already produces Tensor processors for Google Pixel smartphones, which are flagship Exynos chips with artificial intelligence from the Google team.
The new processor is expected to launch in Samsung Galaxy S flagship smartphones not before 2025. Until then, Samsung may switch to Qualcomm chips.
