In May, ZTE launched the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra smartphone with a nearly bezel-less design and in-display camera, and the so-called aviation version of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will be released soon. Judging by the first official poster, the design of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition has changed. If previously the camera modules were placed in a single rectangular block, now there is no such block.

The back panel is said to be made of HT Xuanjing ceramic material created with a single piece of nanocasting. The manufacturer claims that it will be very pleasant to the touch. However, it is not yet clear how easily it will scratch during drops and daily use, and how durable it will be overall.

As for the screen, the space version still uses the third-generation ZTE Axon 40 Ultra display camera technology, while the viewport above the camera is no different from the rest of the screen.

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra features a 6.8-inch full-screen AMOLED display with a radius of 3.9mm curved on the sides. Resolution 2480 x 1116 pixels, peak brightness 1500 cd/m 2 . The display supports a 120 Hz image refresh rate and a 360 Hz touch sampling rate. The main camera has a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 image sensor with optical image stabilization support. It is accompanied by a 64-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with Sony IMX787 sensor and periscopic telephoto lens with OmniVision OV64GB sensor and optical image stabilization support.

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system, LPDDR5 RAM and flash memory. It is also equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery with support for ultra-fast charging at 80 W. Included in the delivery package with the corresponding power supply, cable and cover. The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition is expected to be unveiled on November 29.
