Motorola is reportedly working on a new low-cost smartphone called Motorola ‘Penang’. For those who don’t know, Penang is a state in Malaysia. Now, the famous informant Evan Blass has shared a visual that reveals the design of Motorola Penang.
An image shared via GadgetGang shows that the smartphone will have straight edges with rounded corners for a comfortable grip. The back is also flat and has two camera holes in the upper left. On the front, the device has a prominent top bezel and a thick chin. The front camera cutout is a centered hole.
The report also mentions that the phone shares the same root code as Penang4G and Penang+, but this does not mean that all these devices will be launched in the same series. The report also reveals that the North American variant of the Penang 5G XT-2313 will be available from all three major US carriers alongside Cricket, Dish and Tracfone.
Tipster Evan Blass also claims that the device will only come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Separately, the Motorola XT2335-3 is 3C and TENAA certified. The auditions show that the driver will have a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720*1600 pixels. The device will have an octa-core chipset with a 2.2 GHz processor. Interestingly, RAM variants from 4GB to 12GB and storage variants from 64GB to 512GB will be available.
On the back of the device, there will be a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, there will be an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Finally, the device will measure 162.7×74.6×8.1 (mm) and weigh 183 g.
