It is noted that unlike those who previously implemented similar technology on Apple and Huawei smartphones, Samsung will allow users to send text messages and images. On the other hand, iPhone 14 and Huawei Mate 50 can only send text messages using satellite connection in case of emergency without mobile connection.
According to the source, Samsung’s partner will be Iridium, which operates 66 satellites in low Earth orbit and can provide data transfer rates between 176 and 704 Kbit/s. Samsung did not comment on this information.
The presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which will include three models, is expected to take place in early 2023.
