After rumors surfaced that Xiaomi will launch its flagship Xiaomi 13 smartphones as early as this Thursday (December 1, 2022), it seems like new images of the devices have started appearing on the internet. This time, a reliable source from China has shared a realistic render showing the standard front panel design of the Xiaomi 13 device.
The leaked photo was published by AIUV Planet’s official Weibo account. AIUV Planet is a well-known smartphone case manufacturer in China, and the latest Weibo post shared by them indirectly confirms the front panel design of the standard Xiaomi 13.
The Xiaomi 13 shown here and labeled “protected in our company’s armored case” appears to have a flat AMOLED display with a centered hole at the top of the screen that houses the device’s single selfie camera. In addition to the flat screen, the aluminum body now appears to have straight edges.
If body renders are anything to consider, it looks like the stock Xiaomi 13 will be a significant design upgrade over last year’s stock Xiaomi 12, which launched with a curved 120Hz AMOLED display and curved edges for a more comfortable hand. Also, the image shows that the speaker is still located at the top of the screen, while the power button and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device. The image also shows narrow side bezels on the left, right and top of the device, while the bottom bezel will be revealed later by Xiaomi itself.
Apart from the vanilla Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 13 series is expected to have two more family members: Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The 2 devices are expected to feature higher quality screens with bezel-less curved designs and a more powerful camera system that can compete with the best in the industry. The Xiaomi 13 flagships will be the company’s first devices to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship mobile SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Coupled with ARM’s more power efficient A715 and A510R1 processor cores, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 brings better battery life and better performance. Xiaomi 13 series compared to last generations
