Apple may sell 15-20 million fewer iPhones than planned

According to the quarterly results, the supply of Apple’s top smartphones could be significantly lower than anticipated. According to well-known Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max supply could be 15-20 million lower than Apple originally planned. It’s all about the shutdown of one of the iPhone factories due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are also protests of workers, who also do not contribute to improving the situation with production.

Apple has transferred some of the orders that Foxconn was not able to fulfill to Pegatron and Luxshare, but this is only around 10%.

As a result, Apple may ship 70-75 million devices for the fourth quarter instead of the 80-85 million that would have entered the market had it not happened. Of course, this will affect income. According to Kuo’s estimation, Apple could earn 20-30% less this quarter.
