Samsung is actively rolling out the One UI 5 update for its smartphones. The brand has already updated all its respective flagships and a significant number of mid-range devices. In the latest development, the Korean company is rolling out a stable Android 13 update based on One UI 5 for the Galaxy M42 5G. The update is currently rolling out in India and is expected to roll out to other regions soon. Details are here.
According to Sammobile, Samsung is rolling out One UI 5 stable build for Galaxy M42 users in India. The update comes with firmware version M426BXXU3CVK5 and includes many new features. It also raises the security patch level of the device until November 2022. The update is expected to be available in other countries soon.
The new update is expected to bring all the new features that Samsung introduced with One UI 5.0. There will be many visual changes such as new notification icons and notification interfaces. The update may include widget support, Bixby text search, new multitasking gestures, and more. The update change log is not available.
Galaxy M42 users residing in India should receive an OTA notification about the new software. If not, users can check for an update by going to Settings, selecting Software Update and tapping Download & Install.
As a reminder, the Galaxy M42 launched last year with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 720×1600 pixels HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 750G chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It includes a 20MP selfie camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support.
