Honor X9a will be launched in Malaysia soon. The brand recently shared a teaser on its Twitter account that shows the design of the phone from the front and back. The upcoming offering is expected to be a rebranded version of the Honor X40 that was launched in China in September. Honor X9a has now appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform with model number RMO-NX1. The listing reveals the main features of the smartphone.

Listed with the processor number SM6375, which corresponds to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, the Honor X9a includes six cores running at 1.80GHz and two cores running at 2.20GHz. The list shows 8 GB of RAM and Android 12 operating system. The smartphone scores 669 and 1930 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The specifications of the upcoming offering in the Geekbench database are also similar to the Honor X40.

A promotional video released by Honor Malaysia reveals that the X9a will feature an ultra-durable curved OLED display. The rear panel features a center-aligned punch hole and a circular camera ring. If the smartphone is truly a redesigned X40, we can expect it to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and 120Hz refresh rate. The device will have 50 MP + 2 MP main camera and 8 MP front camera. Honor X9a will be backed by a 5100mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
