Redmi will soon launch its Redmi K60 series smartphones in China. Recent reports claimed that the lineup will include three models: Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60E. Today, the company has officially confirmed the existence of the Redmi K60E. In addition, the name of the chip that will power the device has also emerged.

Information leaked in November revealed that the Redmi phone, codenamed “Rembrandt”, will be launched in China under the name “Redmi K60E”. It is thought that the Redmi device with model number 22127RK46C, which was recently approved by China’s 3C authority, will be sold as Redmi K60E domestically.

The leaker claimed that the Redmi K60E will be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset (officially announced today). However, a recently discovered Geekbench listing revealed that the device may come with the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform. However, the Redmi K60E official poster published today confirms that it will be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset.

The 3C certification of the Redmi K60E revealed that it may have 120W fast charging support. There are speculations that the Redmi K60E could be based on the Xiaomi 12T. Earlier reports claimed that the Xiaomi 12T would launch in China as the Redmi K50S, but that was not the case. It looks like the Redmi K60E will be a redesigned Xiaomi 12T/Redmi K50S.

Xiaomi 12T has a 6.67 inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 20-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (primary) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera setup. The Dimensity 8100-Ultra phone offers up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
