Ahead of the official presentation on December 11, a teaser video of the Xiaomi 13 Pro showed that it will have an IP rating. The phone is dust and water certified, but its rating level is currently unknown. So the Xiaomi 13 Pro can get an IP68 rating just like its flagship sibling, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Xiaomi 13 Pro has a new camera design and an attractive green color. The camera will be universal and will be able to take pictures in any environment. There is also a night mode that lets you shoot clear images at night. Xiaomi 12 Pro does not have night photo function. Most budget Xiaomi phones have IP53 certification, which protects them from light dust and splashes. The IP68 rating provides even more protection and protects the device against water and dust damage. Xiaomi 13 Pro offers up to 512 GB of memory with a large amount of RAM. It runs on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

The smartphone’s signature Wilderness Green color is part of a package that includes the Mi Watch S2 and Buds 4 Pro. Both smart wearables have the same color design as the smartphone. The Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available in limited numbers and will come with a protective travel case with a wrist strap. However, its IP rating must be approved by a regulator before it can be used in device ads. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the organization that issues such certificates.
