Motorola will launch the Moto X40 smartphone. The device has already been featured on various sources and certification websites revealing its features and design. Now, Motorola has officially revealed the design of the Moto X40 with a teaser.

The company shared the image in a post on Weibo. This shows that the first images of the device are in place as the smartphone features a triple camera unit along with a circular flash module housed inside a rectangular camera island. The edges of the smartphone are curved and the same goes for the screen. The teaser shows the two colors we can expect at launch today – blue and black.

A separate post by the brand on Weibo also confirmed a number of speculations about the Moto X40. According to the publication, the Moto X40 will feature a 165Hz display, IP68 water resistance, Android 13-based MYUI 5.0 and Pantone-approved back colors. According to reports, the Moto X40’s 6.67-inch HDR10 + OLED display will have FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The dimensions and weight of the gadget are 161.3×73.9×8.5 mm and 196 grams, respectively.

Inside is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device will run on Android 13 with a custom MyUI 5.0 design. Additional features include NFC, dual-band 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type C, dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.3 and IP68 water and dust protection. When the smartphone was first seen on 3C and TENAA certification sites, it had a 4600mAh and 5000mAh battery. These alternatives offer 125W and 68W fast charging, respectively. According to rumors, the optics of the smartphone includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
